LIVING ROOM, KITCHEN & UTILITY
The main room is a delightful and very comfortable open-plan
sitting room, fitted kitchen and dining area. There's a fantastic view
from the picture window over the Cartmel valley to the south-east. It's
very cosy, with a heated towel rail for kitchen cloths &c. and two
large radiators.
Living area
Furnished with two 2 seater sofas, a bookshelf with various games and
books, a nest of tables, CD/radio and freesat colour TV and DVD player.
There's an open fire with Lake District slate hearth and locally-felled
oak mantelpiece, polished timber floor and rugs. Guests can regulate the
heating themselves using the room thermostat in the Living Room
Kitchen and dining area
A pleasant, open plan kitchen makes the daily round of housekeeping a
pleasure as everything is to hand, be it for a quick snack, preparations
for a picnic or a gourmet evening meal for newly made friends.

Utility Room
In the utility room there's a freezer, washer / dryer and microwave. Also
there is the cleaning cupboard with all the utensils and tools you might
need on your stay, including iron and board, vacuum cleaner, clothes basket
and pegs. There is a drying rack both inside in the Utility room and outside
in the garden. The Utility Room has a quarry tile floor to cope with all
that equipment and boots needed for holidays in the Lake District.
Inside the cleaning cupboard is a time controller for the central heating
system. Although the heating is on a preset cycle, guests can have heating
outside those times by using the time controller at any time.
